Holiday Art Exhibit and Sale



November 7th – December 29th

View a wide range of artists with artwork of various mediums. New artwork will be added to replace purchased pieces. The perfect holiday shopping experience for an original gift of art.

Exhibiting Artists Include: Kevin Flicker, Della Conroy, Lori Kurpiers, Phyllis Joos, Anne Meyer, Gary Wahl, John White, Van Gooch, Clarice Dieter, Sandy Bot-Miller, Dan Allenspach, Deb Connolly, Mary Smith, Angela Behrends. 
Available art will include a wide variety of media: Photography, stoneware, fiber art, watercolor, pastel, rosemaling, and more. Prices range from $25.00 to $500.00. Art will be sold off the walls and replaced with something new.

NEEDLE AND THREAD Call For Submissions (deadline extended)

The Prairie Renaissance Cultural Alliance (PRCA) will host an exhibit from 9th January 2019 to 16th February 2019 which will illustrate the state of the needle arts as they are practiced today.  We are interested in work ranging from traditional embroidery techniques to exploratory boundary stretching art.

Our exhibit, titled Needle & Thread, will be a companion exhibit to Through the Needle’s Eye, the 21st National Exhibit of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America (EGA) to be hosted by Stevens County Historical Society (SCHS), 116 W 6th St, Morris, MN 56267, 14th January 2019 to 30th March 2019.  ( has more details about classes, events and other exhibits.)

A small number of pieces will be selected and presented in the gallery space of the PRCA’s Prairie Art and Gifts, 630 Atlantic Ave, Morris, MN 56267.

Submissions should be made to by Saturday 1st December 2018 with the following information:

For each piece submitted please include:
Title of piece
Description of techniques used if relevant
Sale price or NFS (not for sale)
Image file name

Image files must be in .jpg format, a minimum of 300 dpi and, at most, 6 inches on the longest side.  The image file name should be in the format: A_titleofpiece.jpg or B_titleofpiece.jpg etc.  Abbreviate as needed.

Entries will be judged by artist/curators Jenny Nellis and Susan Gilbert from the electronic images submitted.

Up to five pieces may be submitted per artist and should be exhibition ready.

Selected work will remain in the gallery space through the run of the show.  A 25% commission will be charged on all sales. Your entry grants the PRCA permission to photograph your work and use your images for promotional or educational purposes only.  Insurance is the responsibility of the artist and the shipper. The PRCA is not liable for any damage or loss occurring in transit or during the run of the show.


8th December 2018: deadline for submissions.
15th December 2018: notification of accepted works.
Before 1st January 2019 accepted pieces must be delivered to the the PRCA by post or hand.
9th January 2019: show opens.
17th January 2019: reception, coordinated with the reception for the Through the Needle’s Eye exhibit.
16th February 2019: show closes.
20th February through 23rd February 2019: pieces can be collected in person from the PRCA.
By 1st March 2019: those pieces with return shipping will be dispatched.  Any remaining pieces will be disposed of at the discretion of the PRCA.
